cupcakes with bite pt 2

30 Mar

So after all the prep and the waiting (the how-to for these cupcake bites can be found here), the dipping and decorating was the most time consuming but also the most fun! I found that letting the chocolate drip down a little bit made these cuties look more like authentic cupcakes. I also came across cute mini easter cupcake liners, so I used them for these cupcake bites.  Here is what mine ended up looking like =)

These look AMAZING Chi! As do all of your creations, but especially these! I think it’s because they’re so shiny! Good job!

I’ve been meaning to try these out after I saw ’em on Bakerella but man, I know I’ll eat them all before I get a chance to give them away. I want to make the ones on the sticks. Mmm…cake…

    Your stuff looks great, Chi.

    Your photography is wonderful!!!!!
If you will share, what lens are you using?

aw you guys are all flatterers. I think I spent an entire evening decorating these just because it was so much fun – and the recipients certainly did gasp at one point =)

Gale, the camera I’m using is a Canon Rebel XS, and the lens is the standard Ef-S 18-55 mm IS lens that it came with. Since it’s not a macro lens, the trick is not to get too close to the food (because the lens/camera won’t let you), and then use the zoom to get up-close and personal!

There are dozens of digital SLR cameras on the market today; however, there are few clear or consistent guides to which ones are the best quality and most reliable. Well, Which Digital SLR Camera? has personally tested and evaluated these digital SLR cameras so to give you an easy and simple recommendation of which ones you should choose and which ones you should avoid.
